Click any "Book Now" button and fill out a quick form about your booking. Complete the request by paying the booking fee. We will email you as soon as possible (within 24-48 hrs) with a confirmation and details about your booking including name of sitter and rate per hour.

If we are unable to accommodate your reservations, we will refund your booking fee.

Our rates are based on the number of children present during your booking. For safety and liability reasons, our sitters are responsible for all children in the space and cannot limit care to only those originally listed. This ensures we maintain proper sitter-to-child ratios and provide safe, high quality care at all times.

At StarKids Babysitting, we believe in supporting both the families we serve and the incredible caregivers who make exceptional childcare possible.

Your booking fee helps cover the costs of operating and maintaining our business, including our online booking system, customer support, scheduling, background checks, marketing, insurance, and the ongoing work required to match each family with the right sitter.

Unlike many childcare agencies that take 20–25% (or more) from every job a sitter works, StarKids allows our sitters to keep 100% of what they earn. We don't take a percentage of their hourly pay because we believe great caregivers deserve to be fairly compensated for the amazing work they do.

This approach has helped us build a team of 40+ experienced, happy, and motivated babysitters who genuinely enjoy working with StarKids. Instead of worrying about agency commissions, our sitters can focus on what matters most—providing exceptional care for your children.

For families, that means access to a larger pool of talented caregivers, allowing us to thoughtfully match you with a sitter who best fits your family's needs, whether you're looking for infant care, a hotel babysitter, wedding childcare, vacation care, or a trusted date-night sitter.

Your booking fee helps us continue providing a seamless booking experience while ensuring our caregivers receive the full value of their hard work—a win for both our sitters and the families who trust StarKids Babysitting.

We will charge a refundable booking fee for all bookings. We ask that you pay the remaining balance (sent in the confirmation email) to the sitter in cash upon your return.

We will still charge the minimum of 4 hours of care and is non-negotiable.

Gratuities are given at each clients discretion. Tipping your sitter shows appreciation for the care, patience, and energy they give your child. While sitters do not expect tips, they are appreciated. When you are satisfied with your sitter’s services, it is customary to tip 15-20%. Sitters prefer that the gratuity be given in cash.

Nope. We love pets! There is no addition charge if pets are present. However, our sitters are not expected to feed or walk the animal.

StarKids Babysitting must be notified when a child is sick. Extra fees apply for sick children. Sitters will not administer medicine of any kind. Please be upfront when booking your reservation so that we can provide the best possible care. If the sitter arrives and is unable to care for your child because an illness or special need was not specified, you will forfeit your deposit.

It is always a good idea to book your reservation with as much notice as possible. Booking a sitter with at least 48 hours notice is suggested. Last-minute reservations are based on availability. We recommend scheduling the sitter to arrive at least 15 minutes before you have to leave to review and familiarize themselves with instructions for the sitting.

Reservations must be booked directly with StarKids Babysitting. The sitters are under a non-negotiable contract and they will not work for any client (or third party) outside of StarKids. The sitters respect their jobs, commitments, and agreements and we hope you will too.

Sitters will not clean, do laundry, drive with you or your children in any car, run errands, make deliveries, give baths or showers, give medication, supervise medications or allow anyone not pre-authorized by the client into the home or hotel room without prior permission.

Sitters will bring their own food and snacks. However, if your reservation at a hotel is 4 or more hours and during a mealtime, we strongly encourage providing a meal for your sitter. If your reservation at a hotel is 8 hours or more, and during normal meal times, you are required to provide at least one meal for your sitter.

Your sitter will bring a book or quiet work to do while the children are sleeping or napping. If you are in a hotel room, the sitter will sit quietly until you arrive. StarKids Babysitting provides child care services only. Sitters are not required to clean or do any domestic work outside of cleaning up after playtime during the reservation.

We value that our sitters understand the need to be flexible. However, all reservations must be changed or modified with at least 24 hours notice. With less than 4 hours notice, you will be charged from the earliest reserved time plus any applicable parking fees. All changes must be made directly with StarKids babysitting during normal business hours.

An agency fee is charged upon confirmation and is not refundable. We strictly enforce a 24 hour cancellation and modification policy for all standard babysitting reservations. There is a 72 hour cancellation and modification policy for reservations with multiple babysitters, for groups, special rates, overnights and for holidays (New Years Day, Valentines Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, First night of Passover, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Mother’s Day, Fourth of July, Father’s Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve). If the reservation is cancelled or modified with less than the required 24 or 72 hours notice, then we will keep the deposit made during reservation. Cancellations and modification may only be made by speaking with StarKids Babysitting or with a timed stamped voicemail. Cancellations or modifications by text, by e-mail or with the babysitter will not be honored. There are no exceptions.

If the location changes we can not guarantee that the same sitter will be available or that we will be able to accommodate your request. Additional fees may apply.

Please note that pricing may vary based on timing, availability, and service requirements. Last-minute bookings, holidays, special events, and large group care may be subject to adjusted rates due to increased staffing demands, limited caregiver availability, and operational costs.

Holiday and event coverage often requires premium pay for caregivers, extended hours, advance coordination, and backup staffing to ensure reliable service. For these reasons, standard hourly rates may not apply.

All applicable rates will be communicated clearly prior to confirmation, and bookings are only finalized once pricing and availability are agreed upon.
